The modern world seems to be under a constant threat of terror.
A need for a security turnstile that will create a safe passage
for pedestrians emerged and ELGOTEAM has decided
to come up with a solution.
Our security turnstile is a unique (patented) product that gives
an answer to both pedestrian access control and security situations
potentially created in walk-in compounds.
Operation unit:
Engine and transmission based, with an exact location control.
Transmission unit allows locking when in power and manual
turning of the device when power is off.
Sensors and control:
A main controller is supervising the entire range of operations.
The engine controller allows sensing of force incase a body is
captured between arms by any reason.
A stepping sensor monitors the correct position of the body inside the turnstile.
Edge sensors insure a controlled one person at a time operation.
End of operation sensors for turning and lifting the arms.
Lock-in operation:
When a suspect or an unwanted person is recognized by the system
a lock-in operation is activated.
In this case the turnstile will allow a walk-in process
but will lock the person inside by turning only 45degrees
and not completing the full operation.
In that case the person is locked until a controlled and supervised
release is done.
Release can than be activated for both sides of the turnstile
by turning the arms or by lifting to allow a both side holding of the suspect.
Emergency operation:
The turnstile arms can be totally lifted to create a clear passage
in emergency cases. This can be used when ever there is a need
for fast entering or exiting the compound.
Benefits of the system:
One person at a time controlled operation.
Lock-in operation of suspect.
While in lock-in mode the suspect will have enough room
for examination (cloths, shoes etc`)
Emergency clear passage operation.
Additional options:
The turnstile can work in a row with a metal detector, explosives
detector or an x-ray detector all to be combined
in its main control unit.
When ever one of the units sends an alert to the turnstile
it can automatically go into silent lock-in mode.
An alert will be sent to the control room automatically.
Optional sensing units: Biometric, face\picture recognition, magnetic cards etc`.
Optional automatic lock-in operation controlled by picture\name database.
